Last night was a verrry lazy night at the Olive and Ruby homestead. I wanted some comfort food, but no one was here to make it for me. I was also craving Asian food, but didn’t want to drive out to get some. After a quick review of the ingredients that I had – Sweet and Spicy Chili Chicken was made.
So, what do you do when you get a bag of Meyer lemons? You make a Meyer lemon pound cake, of course! Laura encouraged me to get a bag of these sweet but tart lemons. It was late on Sunday when I pulled them out, so I pulled out my go-to-recipe and the Meyer Lemon Pound cake was born.
Salty and sweet seems to be the new craze and everywhere you go, there are lots of salted caramel options to choose from. So what do you do when you want to try it but you don't have the caramel. You improvise.
