The Italian Job

Italy did a job on me. I fell in love, and now I’m itching to go back. It was my first time there and although I spent 12 days there I could have stayed longer. I'm starting to plan our next trip and I'm trying to figure out how I can include Rome as a layover stop on our way to the Caribbean.

Seriously though I'm definitely planning on heading back there sometime very soon. Many great memories were made sitting at many trattorias drinking copious amounts of wine and eating incredibly good food. It's hard to believe that this is what I was eating less than 2 weeks ago.

Gnocchi Prawns

Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara (Authentic carbonara actually has no cream in it)

Pasta and Vegetables

Medium Florentine Steak

In addtion to Rome, we also went to Florence where we had the world famous Florentine Steak. We ordered medium and they served us this, I'm scared to see what they consider rare!

Panna Cotta

Fresh Panna Cotta with Strawberries - BTW, this tasted as delicious as it looks!

Gelato in Lucca

And no trip to Italy would be complete without having lots and lots of this. Until we meet again!
